We are all set for school tomorrow. We have installed new filters on most of the problem areas. We have a few classrooms that have water that is wash hands only until we can replace the faucets, because the filters did not fit the faucets. For those classrooms, we will have bottled water available until the replacements are done. All common areas are fine and testing showed them to be fine. EGLE believes the majority of the issue was the fact that water had been sitting in the impacted faucets all summer without being run. Testing was conducted before school began. We are doing everything we can to make sure your children and our staff are as safe as possible. We appreciate being able to be a part of this project to better help our school achieve that goal.

With the change in the weather forecast, the Wexford County Emergency Manager is not recommending an early release of school at this time. Although the risk of a severe storm is still possible, the chances are much less. As such, we will have a full day of school today. We appreciate you having alternative plans in place if the outcome would have been different!

Our Wexford County Emergency Manager has advised us to be prepared for a possible recommendation to close school early tomorrow due to the severe weather anticipated tomorrow afternoon.   We will continue to monitor the weather and he will update us in the morning on the situation.  In planning for this possibility, please make alternative arrangements for a possible early closure tomorrow in the event this happens.  We plan to start school as we normally do.  We will keep you informed of any additional information tomorrow morning.
